Terms and Conditions

The Hiring is for holiday purposes only.

Proprietor’s Liability

The proprietor accepts no liability for accident, injury, loss or damage sustained by any residents, their family, visitors, animals, vehicles or personal effects however caused. The proprietor takes no liability for happenings outside their control and no liability will fall on the proprietor for the effects of extreme weather, power cuts, water shortages, farming disasters, epidemic or pandemics as declared by the Department of Health, DEFRA or WHO.

Payments

On booking, a deposit of 50% of the rental is payable. The balance of the rental is payable 90 days prior to arrival at the farmhouse. For bookings made less than 3 months in advance the total amount is payable on booking. Payment methods accepted are bank transfer, cash (not via post) or cheque (no CC facility).

You must be a minimum of 21 years old to book this property. In addition to the rent a refundable £100 accidental damage is requested at time of booking, please refer to our breakages clause. This will cover the owners against any major damage or neglect to the property.

Cancellations

We strongly recommend that you take advantage of holiday cancellation insurance. In the event of a cancellation, every effort will be made to re-let the farmhouse. In the unlikely event that re-letting cannot be arranged, you will be liable to pay the balance of the tariff.

Breakages

Any damages or breakages must be paid for. Accidental damages and breakages of a minor nature will not normally be charged. A £100 refundable deposit will be requested at time of booking.

Parking

There is ample parking.

Arrival and Departure

Bookings are from 4 pm on the day of arrival to 10.00 am on the day of departure. Lettings are Friday to Friday with exception of short breaks. Timings on Winter Bookings and Short Breaks are flexible – please enquire.

Number of Guests

The maximum number of guests permitted in the farmhouse is 7 (excluding babies). The proprietor reserves the right to decline accommodation and to order any unauthorised person off the premises.

Complaints

Any complaint must be made known to the proprietor or his agents immediately. No complaint will be entertained at the end of the hiring period or after the hirer has departed.

Dogs and Smoking

There is a no smoking/no pets policy in this farmhouse. Smoking permitted outside of this house only.

Logs

We can supply logs(from our log store), however due to cost of delivery and labour involved we do need to pass some of this charge onto you. We operate an honesty approach and we suggest £20 for a full week and £15 for a weekend however we trust your judgement on what you have used and request you leave a fair payment to reflect this. Cash payment to be left on the kitchen work surface next to the kettle.

Feedback

We welcome your feedback, so we can improve our accommodation to provide a ‘home from home’ stay. Please inform us of your comments (contact form) and we would welcome your feedback in our visitors’ book.

Photos

The photos on this website are up to date however if you see slight changes in the property it will be due to improvements, we are continuously looking of ways to make our property one of the best properties to rent in the area therefore you may see some changes.

Your personal information will not be shared with anyone else. They are solely for the use of Lower Park Farmhouse owners. We ask for gender and age on booking for statistical purposes so we can evaluate what we offer at Lower Park Farm.
